Good Parents

Parenting is not only the ability to support a family financially, but there are other responsibilities that come into place in order for a parent to be considered “good.” Sure, having enough income to bear a family is essential to any family, but there are also other aspects of parenting that some parent’s lack.

Parents must be able to raise their child to teach him or her morals. A child without morals is setup to have a difficult time associating with people, which will lead to struggling throughout his or her life. Giving a child confidence and raising him or her to be successful is one of the best things any parent can do. Attention plays a huge role in helping a child gain confidence. The more confident a child is, the more they will put themselves out there and become a leader. Caring for a child shows that your child is important to you and your life. Little things can be done to show them that you care for them is healthy such as telling them you love them, taking them out to dinner, or simply going out and having fun.

Most of all, a parent must be able to love his or her child. If love is absent, the consequences can create havoc in the child’s lifetime. Love is the surrounding force of relationships, whether it be child and parent, boyfriend and girlfriend, or between siblings. If there is no love between a child and a parent, the connection between them will be weaker than those who have strong relationships.

Journal Entry Feb 13

In my opinion, I believe children who are raised in an enriching intellectual environment grow to become more successful. They are brought up to be go-getters who will have always have to hustle for survival. By doing this, they learn how to fend for themselves and they understand how it feels to be somewhat independent. Children who live in comfortable living conditions always have their work done for them and they never really know how to handle complicated situations on their own. They always have to rely on someone to get them through the thickest circumstances. But a equal balance between the two should ensure great success if raised properly.

The Glass Castle

Journal Question February 6

Not only adults, but also anybody can do whatever they want. Everybody has to power to do what he or she wants, even if it involves bending or breaking the rules. However, adults carry a more dominant role when they don’t have much higher authorities to punish them for wrong doings as children have on the other hand. However, there should be a stopping point when people realize if their actions are having negative effect on others. If they were a person with good morals, then they should know to stop.
